Good Friday

While writing my devotional this morning, I have to reflect on the Goodness of God. Every year, the Jewish holiday of Passover coincides with Resurrection Sunday. As Christians celebrate the sacrifice Jesus made for us, our Jewish brothers and sisters celebrate the protection God showed the Israelites during the plagues of Egypt. In the same way, Jesus suffered and shed His blood for us, sacrificing His broken body so that our sins could be PASSED OVER and not only forgiven, but completely forgotten, no matter how rotten we have been! He then arose from the dead 3 days later and fulfilled all the prophesies of old!

THAT'S WHY WE CALL THIS UPCOMING SUNDAY,

RESURRECTION SUNDAY!

Resurrection Sunday isn't a time to celebrate pagan rituals, and focus solely on bunny rabbits that hide candy eggs. We can't let the traditions of man distracts us from celebrating our precious JESUS and the goodness of our Heavenly Father!

Here is where I want to stretch your faith, and maybe even provoke you a little bit.

RUN ATER JESUS AND ALL HE DID FOR YOU! RUN AFTER WHAT BELONGS TO YOU, AS HIS OWN PRECIOUS PEOPLE!

What Jesus did goes FAR beyond just saving you from hell. Because of Jesus, we can tap into having Heaven on Earth as it was before the fall of Adam and Eve. A life where every curse was removed, where sickness can’t touch you, where God's provision and prosperity amaze you, and where His peace rules in your heart. A life where fear does not exist because you rule over it! That's the life Jesus has promised us! We don’t have to die to have these things.

JESUS DIED - SO WE COULD LIVE IN FULLNESS NOW!

MARK 9:23

23 JESUS said to him, “If you can BELIEVE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES.”

At this point, you may be thinking, "I want to live a life like this, why don’t I?" The missing pieces are unbelief and a damaged soul. In the state of today's fallen world, our once perfect souls have been damaged by life’s hardships and lies, passed down through generations and false teachings that we believed as a truth. We have been deceived and conditioned to make a covenant with death, not with life.

PSALM 23:3

3 He RESTORES MY SOUL; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

As you can see, we are in great need of having our souls restored. The good news is, Jesus has provided a way for it! We need only press into him and find out what those areas are. Ask God to reveal any wounds in your soul that have been hidden and how it's affecting you.

LUKE 4:18

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

NOTE: All of this is referring to our souls.

JESUS IS LIFE!

I was praying for a friend who has been through many hardships in this life. As I was praying, I kept hearing the Lord say "you know death, but I KNOW LIFE." In other words, He was saying " I AM LIFE!"

JOHN 11:25-26

25 Jesus said to her, “I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE, He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

JESUS BOUGHT YOUR FREEDOM - TAKE IT!

This morning, I received an email from our ministry partner, Omer Eshel from Israel, about a new discovery buried near the Temple Mount. Ancient coins with the inscription "FOR THE FREEDOM OF ZION & FOR THE REDEMPTION OF ZION." This coin was from the Jewish revolt against the Roman Empire.

There is no accident these coins were uncovered RIGHT NOW! God is screaming at us, "Your freedom is NOW! TAKE IT!"

Last year, I had a dream about of an ancient scroll rolled out in front of me with coins just like these, shofars and the scale of Justice right in the middle of it.

A few months ago, I had another dream the same scroll without the scale, but instead, it was raining those COINS! God is saying that his freedom is about to start raining on us!!

A few weeks ago, many of you followed our trip to Israel. While I was there, Omer's wife gifted me with this necklace she made. It had the coins and the Shofars that I dreamed about! SHE HAD NO IDEA ABOUT MY DREAM!!! Isn't that awesome?! God is speaking, we just need to listen!

MEDITATE ON THESES WISE WORDS OF SOLOMON

Solomon 1:13-16

13 For God did not make death; neither does He have pleasure in the destruction of the living.

14 For He created all things, that they might have their being; and the generations of the world were healthful; and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor the kingdom of death upon the earth:

15 For righteousness is immortal:

16 But ungodly men, with their works and words called it to them; for when they thought to have it [as] their friend, they consumed to nothing, and made a covenant with it, because they are worthy to take part with it.

NOTE:They made a covenant with death as if it was their friend. Renounce that in Jesus name.

Solomon 2:22

As for the mysteries of God, they did not know them; neither did they hope for the wages of righteousness, nor discerned a reward for blameless souls.

23 For God created man to be immortal, and made him to be an image of His own eternity.

24 Nevertheless, through envy of the devil, death came into the world; and those who hold of his side find it.

Solomon 3:1

1 But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment will touch them.

Solomon 3:7-9

And in the time of their visitation, they will shine, and run here and there like sparks among the stubble.

8 They will judge the nations, and have dominion over the people, and their Lord will reign forever.

9 Those who put their trust in Him will understand the truth; and such who are faithful in love will abide with Him; for grace and mercy are to His saints, and He has care for His elect.

JESUS SAID, "YOU KNOW DEATH, BUT I KNOW LIFE - I AM LIFE"

As we celebrate Christ this week during Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, we should rejoice like never before! Unlike any time in history, freedom is being released and manifested in unexplainable ways, that ONLY Jesus could do for us! Watch for the Lord to start showing off! His glory is being poured out on His children throughout the world!

PRAYER

I praise you Lord! Thank you for your glory and your Freedom! I magnify your name.

Help me receive all that you have for me. I want You to manifest Your presence so strongly in my life that the world cannot deny your goodness. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice, and for setting us free! You truly are the name above all names and are worthy of all the praise!
