Extinguish & Ignite
The body of Christ is at war. Every day, Satan is raging, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). As followers of Jesus, we cannot pretend that the spiritual real doesn't exist. As much as our Heavenly Father loves us and has great plans for us, Satan wants to destroy us. The good news is WE HAVE THE POWER! Satan is no match to what lives inside of you! If you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are so much stronger and more powerful than any demon of hell! You are a conqueror!
As most of you know, God often speaks to me prophetically in dreams. A few years back, I had a dream where I was holding a shield, fighting off arrows with one hand, and in the other I was holding a fox with its tail on fire. (Just like in Judges 15:4, when Samson lit the tails of foxes to burn the Enemy's crops.)
In this particular dream, the shield represented the "shield of faith", which is able to extinguish every fiery dart of the enemy (Ephesians 6:16). The Lord was showing me that we are at war, and its time to destroy the enemy's crops with Gods Word and our actions. We can no longer sit around and do nothing. We must stop allowing the enemy to steal from us! We've got to take action!
Sending forth Gods word from our mouth is an all consuming fire (Deuteronomy 4:24). It burns up the works of the enemy and destroys his plans. If there is any further action to be taken in the natural, God will show us what to do. The most important thing to do is pray scripture over your life and your circumstances.
Ignite yourselves with the Word of God and light your fox tails! RISE UP oh Warriors of the Most High God, RISE UP!
Deuteronomy 4:24
24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 9:3
3 Therefore understand today that the LORD your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the LORD has said to you.
HOW TO PRAY
The following are prayers to declare over yourself. Many of the wicked people in the Bible are actual demonic spirits at work today. The Bible says that every named name MUST bow to the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:10). No matter your situation or circumstance, you have the Word of God on your side and it will NOT return void. Amen!
• Every situation of Jezebel threatening to destroy me, die in my place, in the name of Jesus.
In the Book of 1 Kings, Jezebel convinced her husband King Ahab to abandon the worship of Yahweh and encourage worship of the false god Baal instead. Jezebel then persecuted the prophet Elijah, and spread her wickedness throughout the land. Jezebel met a gruesome death—thrown out of a window by members of her own court, and was eaten by stray dogs.
• Every situation of Haman threatening to hang me, be hanged instead in Jesus name.
In the book of Esther, Haman made a plot to kill all of the Jews of ancient Persia. His plans were destroyed by Queen Esther, the king's wife, who was a Jew. Haman was hanged from the gallows that had originally been built to hang Mordecai, her uncle.
• Every strange god, claiming me from my place of birth be consumed by fire in Jesus name.
We live in a world full of false gods and idols. Many times curses and iniquities have been passed down through the generations. Speak life over yourself. The Word of God has so much more power than anything professed or spoken over you, even before your birth. As you claim this, watch the lord destroy those word curses in your life.
• I receive fire to overcome my Goliath today in Jesus name.
Goliath was the giant King David killed in the book of 1 Samuel. Much like this situation, there may be "giants" in your way; taunting you and lying to you. You are able to overcome everything by the blood of Jesus! You can claim your victory over this "giant" in your life.
• Every Sickness designed to destroy my body, be consumed by fire in Jesus name.
You don't have to suffer in sickness or disease. Jesus took all your illness on the cross. By His stripes you WERE healed (Isaiah 53:5). Let the fire of the Holy Spirit consume any sickness or disease in your body. Refuse to accept the report of the doctors. Believe the report of the Lord (Isaiah 53:1).
PRAYER
Father, I claim my victory today! No longer will I sit back and take the enemy's attack on my life. I choose to stand up, use your Word to fight. I thank you for your divine protection. King Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice and for giving the power and authority to us. I rejoice in who you are and what your sacrifice means. I choose now to walk forward in victory. The devil is under my feet!
