Declare & Decree Victory

DECLARE & DECREE VICTORY

As the body of Christ, we must get in the habit of speaking VICTORY over ourselves, in every area of our lives. Are there things that have been controlling your life that you wish God would just take away? Are there frustrations you can't seem to shake? Is there a heaviness that feels like a physical burden? God has called you to have victory over everything in this life. We just have to believe it!

Anything we set your hands to do in life, we are to have victory in. Every obstacle the enemy tries to throw your way - you guessed it - we're meant to have victory over it! As sons and daughters of God, when we walk in obedience to His Word, we have access to complete victory through Jesus Christ. It's our inheritance!

WHAT IT MEANS TO DECLARE SOMETHING

JOB 22:28 28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.

DECLARE:

1. To say something in an emphatic manner. To proclaim, announce, voice or broadcast something.

2. Acknowledge possession of something.

When you DECLARE something spiritually, you are making an announcement and giving notice to the principalities and powers of the air that you are in agreement with God and His Word. You are letting Satan know that he is a defeated foe, and proclaiming that you shall have what you say. You are TAKING POSSESSION OF IT.

WHAT IT MEANS TO DECREE SOMETHING

PSALMS 2:7-9 7 “I will DECLARE AND DECREE: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’

DECREE:

1. An official order issued by a legal authority 2. A judgment or decision of certain law courts

When you DECREE something, you are signing a contract with God, and sealing it with His promise. This means, you know for certain that God's Word is true, and His promises do not return void. Decreeing something means you have lined up your thinking with God's will and by His Word, you shall have it. When you line your mindset and your speech with the will of God and His word by decreeing something, it is GODS LAW. Therefore, it has been established in the courts of heaven to come about in your life.

WHAT ARE THE SPIRITUAL ASPECTS OF DOING THIS?

MATTHEW 21:22 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, BELIEVING, you will receive.”

When you announce your victory over the enemy, Satan has no choice but to surrender. As a result, you are taking back the possession of your God-given authority over everything in your life: health, finances, etc. When Jesus died, He said, "It is finished." That means, we are not meant to live in fear of the enemy. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS. When you declare and decree something over your life, as long as it lines up with Gods Word, take confidence in knowing that it will come to pass.

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE?

PROVERBS 18:2121

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

As humans, we have the power of agreement. Our words can be full of life, but they can also be deadly. If you're in agreement with the devil, obviously he will have free reign in your life. In other words, watch your mouth! If you understood the power of your words you would guard them wisely! YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY. If you speak negative things (i.e. fear, doubt, unbelief, death, defeat, destruction etc.) that is exactly what you're going to get.

However, when you place your alignment with scripture, and get into agreement with God and His Law, then you can proclaim victory over something and take possession of it. When you speak life (i.e. blessings, abundance, prosperity, health, victory, etc.), then that is what you will have. With that authority, you can command the host of heaven (the warring angles) to go forth and do battle in the heavenly's to make something happen in the natural for you, your family, your country, your town etc.

IN CONCLUSION

1 CORINTHIANS 15:57

57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Complete victory has been made possible to us by Jesus. Because of His sacrifice, we can have a full, abundant life filled with the joy of the Lord. We don't have to live defeated lives. As the chosen people of God, we are meant to thrive! It's time to take God's Word as truth, and make this a reality in our lives. It's time to believe God's promises, take a step of faith, and begin declare and decree victory in your life!
